Except they aren't breaking the law. At least not the ones claiming asylum.

Our law says you can apply for asylum at any port of entry in the US, and you can do it within a year of entering the country.

The problem is that because Convicted Felon Trump and Human Reptile Stephen Miller dismantled the Asylum Court system, instead of resolving these cases within 180 days as the law requires, these cases can stretch out for four years without a hearing.
