Obama continues to follow Saul Alinsky's playbook

Are the left wingers in this thread denying Saul Alinsky was a socialist with socialist ideals and that Obama was (along with Hillary) a Saul Alinsky disciple and surrounded by socialists/communists his entire life?

I cannot tell or decipher their double talk.

He was right?

His grandmother was a communist also? I didn't know that...

Saul David Alinsky, a writer, was an American community organizer and writer. He is generally considered to be the Communist radical, socialist founder of the modern community organizing movement. He is most noted for his book Rules for Radicals.

Anyone out there think that this stuff isn't happening today in the U.S. ?
In case you hadn't noticed, all eight rules are currently in play.

How to create a Communist social state by Saul Alinsky:
There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.

1) Healthcare “Control healthcare and you control the people.”

2) Poverty “Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.”

3) Debt “Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.”

4) Gun Control “Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.”

5) Welfare “Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).”

6) Education “Take control of what people read and listen to. “Take control of what children learn in school.”

7) Religion “Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.”

8) Class Warfare “Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.”

Does any of this sound like what is happening to the United States? It should! It is the method of operation of the Democrat Party and RINO's!

snopes.com: Saul Alinsky: How to Create a Social State

Always remember the first rule of power tactics: Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.

The second rule is: Never go outside the experience of your people. When an action is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

The third rule is: Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

The fourth rule is: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.

The fourth rule carries within it the fifth rule: Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.

The sixth rule is: A good tactic is one that your people enjoy. If your people are not having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.

The seventh rule: A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time, after which it becomes a ritualistic commitment, like going to church on Sunday mornings.

The eighth rule: Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.

The ninth rule: The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

The tenth rule: The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.

The eleventh rule is: If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.

The twelfth rule: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. You cannot risk being trapped by the enemy in his sudden agreement with your demand and saying "You're right — we don't know what to do about this issue. Now you tell us."

The thirteenth rule: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

The govt. does not control health care in the manner of communism does. It is not entirely run by the state. It is a quasi-govt./private business enterprise.. That lobbyist petitioned to the govt. to redress about their losses on charity cases that were killing hospitals and doctors investments...and private insurance companies are writing the medical insurance plans... It would be closer to socialism, but it's not completely.

My son gets Bibles and sermons, not to mention hymns in his public school. He attends school with Muslim immigrants and they are quiet, hard working people that enjoy their freedom to live without fear of death in their former country..
This nation is free, it may not be as free as some would like, but we do not have to worry about many things other people do in their countries, and they flock to this nation to enjoy those freedoms and the chance to provide for their children...

Hardly communistic at all.

As Saul Alinsky said:

1) Conservatives will repeat anything they read on the internet

2) If you place a famous persons name on a quote, it will be more believable

3) Anything sent to your inbox must be true

4) Attributing 2014 issues to 1960s radicals will not be challenged

5) snopes is just a leftwing propaganda tool

You are so fukked up you must believe Alinsky 'invented the internet' before he died in 1972!

When it was actually invented decades later, by Algore!!!

There is nothing that prevents someone from coming up with new quotes long after they are dead........ask the OP

The Saul Alinsky disciples are ON THE RIGHT...

Saul Alinsky: Founder of the Tea Party?

While Alinsky hailed from Chicago, and was, like the president, a community organizer, he died when Obama was 11 years old. The president did not learn at Alinsky's knee. Alinsky wrote a book, Rules for Radicals, that did inspire some on the left. However, the book has motivated plenty on the right.

William F. Buckley called Alinsky "very close to being an organizational genius." FreedomWorks, a DC-based conservative/libertarian political action organization presently in the business of supporting Tea Party initiatives and candidates, uses Alinsky's book as a training manual for its top leadership members. Conservative firebrand, former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey, is said to give out copies of Rules for Radicals to Tea Party leaders.

The Right loves to hate - and imitate - Saul Alinsky

RctOlTJ.jpg

Alinsky strictly resisted political labels and affiliations, once explaining “if you think you've got an inside track to absolute truth, you become doctrinaire, humorless and intellectually constipated.” But conservatives began invoking his name as something of an epithet to sully the left’s tactics as sneaky, underhanded, unethical — or Marxist.

But a funny thing happened on the way to Alinsky taking a place alongside top contemporary conservative bogeymen like Michael Moore, George Soros and Jane Fonda. His seminal 1971 guide to organizing, “Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals,” became a must-read for a new wave of conservative activists who mobilized — many for the first time — in opposition to the ambitious, big-government agenda pushed by President Obama and the Democratic Congress.

Suddenly, the book was being touted as a way to beat the left at its own game by everyone from 69-year-old former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, whose nonprofit group FreedomWorks has emerged as a leading Washington bulwark for the tea party movement, to 25-year-old James O’Keefe, the self-styled activist investigative journalist who last year became a conservative hero for secretly recording employees of the liberal community-organizing group ACORN apparently offering advice on how to set up a brothel, to tea party leaders seeking to disrupt congressional town halls.

Yeah, we know.

Liberals are indeed brainwashed.

Now, hear this folks. They are claiming republicans are socialists and the democrats are the capitalists.

They are actually trying to convince me of this.

This Alinsky stuff is half a decade old. Nobody cares.

This was made up by a Conservative as "Well, maybe they will believe me if I put Alinskys name to it"

As of today, it is Republucans who are using the tactics of Alinsky. They apply to either side.

Why would liberals use them if they are in power?

Keep the pressure on. Never let up. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. Iff you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.

That answers your question.

Obama continues to follow Saul Alinsky's playbook

As do all American politicians and their campaign strategists.

Our GOP candidates will do the same in a reduced scope this fall as will their opponents.

Absolutely

It is the conservatives who have to resort to the tactics of Alinsky. They are a minority in their own party. They have no power.

Liberals control the government. Why would they have to resort to the tactics of radicals?

Biggest Bullshit quotes that Conservatives still believe are true

1. Winston Churchill: If you're not a liberal when you're 25, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the time you're 35, you have no brain."

2. Abe Lincoln: You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves

3. Admiral Yamamoto: "You cannot invade ... There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass.

4. Alinsky said what the OP thinks he did? You have to be kidding

Not to mention countless quotes attributed to Bill Cosby and George Carlin

For a person who never heard of Saul Alinsky, you sure seem to be an expert all of a sudden.

One, those quotes from conservative are not dumb, even if they are inaccurate.

Two, your attempt to equate Saul Alinsky to conservative or capitalist ideology is the dumbest thing I have seen you say.

We are still waiting for just one of you brainwashed, brain dead hacks to tell us how many people lost their health care. It is funny enough for us to see pawns/puppets claim it does not matter.

Fucking hilarious

Allinsky wrote rules for radicals. What makes you believe Republicans cannot be radicals?

Republicans are out of power. Radical tactics are the tool of those seeking to disrupt those in power

Why do conservatives see the need to invent quotes? Isn't that a propaganda tool that would make Alinsky proud?
