Obama up by 8......

Kinda pathetic that it took a financial disaster the magnitude of which this nation has not seen since the Great Depression to sway voters away from a party that according to you is hated and reviled more than anything the world has ever seen towards your candidate.

LOL. Celebrate all you want about Obama's 8 points...its truly sad that the Democrats have to wait for disaster and misery in order to have a shot at winning the Presidency.

They want you to depend on them for jobs, healthcare, retirement, housing, education, etc.

If there is no crisis you won't need them...and that is bad...for them. That is why they gloat over crisis and fabricate new ones where none existed.

Your independence is a liberal's worst fear.

Make all the excuses you need to help you sleep at night. The rest of us really don't care.

Just shows that when it comes to the economy the American people trust Obama handily over McCain.

Then again, I can see why. McCain was the guy who boasted ignorance about not knowing about the economy and wanted interest rates to be zero. If you have any idea what that would mean for our economy, you'd want McCain as far as away from the White House as possible.

I'm guessing you think that when Obama is handed the reins in Jan '09 everything will be sunshine and puppy dogs.

A White House without Bush and Co. is a great day no matter what.

Though if McCain was in the White House then not much would change, things might even get worse then they are under Bush.

Apart from wasting $100M on the Chicago Annanberg Challenge, what exactly are Obama's economic and financial credentials?

And no calling Frank Raines for advice, young man.

Are you fucking KIDDING ME? should ANY of you gop loving conservatives in this thread be crying about how it takes a disaster to win an election with your fucking MUSHROOM CLOUDS and WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTIONS and FIGHT EM THERE INSTEAD OF HERE bullshit that you marched behind in 2004? Take it on down the road you short term memory blackout motherfuckers.

Again, what is with the Right wing need to bring my age into every sort of convo with me? Is it like a tic similar to John McCain bringing up his POW days?

Obama's economic plan is much better then what McCain is offering.

Here's what your man McCain knows about the economy: Zero

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DX81BfFpI14&feature=related]YouTube - McCain on Economy: "you all know it better than I do"[/ame]

(See, according to McCain I am more qualified on the economy then him.)

Must I REALLY need to go on? REALLY?

I may be the younger one, but I guess that just means I'm not blinded by support for one political party like you seem to be.

Obama's PROVEN experience is to squander $100M...and all you can complain about is McCain doesn't know enough about economics to micromanage an economy...which is actually a good thing.

I'll take McCain's self-avowed ignorance over Obama's proven failures and plans to repeat them on a national level ANY DAY.

Really? Your that blinded by your loyality to the Republican Party?

Amazing it took you so long to answer.

How about you link to me to this "100M squandering?"

I've linked you to the words from Mumbles himself.

McCain doesn't know ANYTHING about economics or the economy to micromanage an economy.

I'll quote Barack Obama on this one:

"It's like these guys take pride in being ignorant."

Which is what you just showed in a nutshell with the line it's a good thing.

Get over yourself you misbegotten outgrowth of a semen stain. Just because I don't hang on your every post doesn't mean you've made some point.

CAC translated Mr. Ayers's radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with "external partners," which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).

Mr. Obama once conducted "leadership training" seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama's early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education. CAC's in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement.

No, the people whose job it is to know how economies work should be in business, not government. It isn't government's job to run business.

Alas Obama--who knows nothing about business--thinks it is his job to run business. He strikes me as someone who just took a class on CPR claiming he can handle neurosurgery.

"ACORN, WSJ, scatological insults, fart, burb, puke, drool, blather...."

Holeinthevoid, you are starting to lose it.

Actually Obama was polling well before this as well. The only time McCain was consistently polling better than Obama was the few weeks right after the Palin pick which coincided with his nomination.

God it fun to watch the Cons on here twist and turn...

that is very true.. .they were virtually tied again before the big crisis because the RNC bounce and Palin effect had worn off. Before the RNC Obama led McCain consistently by 3 points... within the margin of error but still a lead.

No, it's truly sad that the Republicans have almost destroyed the country.

Yes, yes. The Evil Republicans have ruined it all. Thank God for Obama and his Democratic Congress...they will save us all from the Evil Republicans and set everything right with the world. I can't wait to be saved - thats why I'm voting for Obama.
