It was a pretty stupid idea when originally composed .
Now it is old hat and rather petty .

I thought it would be available within months to use as a replacement for the aging fleet of Air Force One standbys. But that's not the case. It wouldn't be ready until about 2029 which is about the same time the two brand new planes will be ready to go.

Ultimately there's no reason to pursue it anymore.
Hopefully cooler heads will prevail here and the whole thing will just die on the vine.

It has too much potential to smell like personal gain at this point.

Personnally I'm fine with the DOD accepting the 747-Pleasure Palace as long as there are no strings attached.

Designate it a "C-747".

Strip out the whorehouse interior.

Configure it for Troop/Cargo Transport.

Couple the C-747 as a troop hauler and pair it with some C-5/C-17's for moving equipment and it would be very valuable for moving troops and equipment to secure locations in support of hot spots around the globe.
