I don't need the aggravation or the baggage.I seldom socialise with anyone.I talk more with you guys than I do with almost anyone else.I have my family who I love dearly and I have people I work with, other than that there is only one guy I would call almost a friend, almost, because although we used to hang out in the past we don't now much.I have a multitude of acquaintances and will keep them that.

I don't like tittle tattle, I sort out my own problems because I don't like being shit on and let down.

I have a couple of brothers that have socializing issues. Our parents were distant but permissive. They, my brothers, didn't adjust to being on thier own as well as I would have hoped. One I saved from suicide twice when he was in his early twenties. The other lost his son to drowning in the middle of a winter and has never recovered from that trauma. Every time I call him and he doesn't answer the phone I worry.

Dumb fuck or not I fear that some day I will get bad news. If you don't like people get a dog. They like you no matter how screwed up you are.

I'm friends with my family, my mom, my brothers, sister and grown children are the people I most like to talk to.

But I can think of 3 very close friends right off the top of my head...wait, 4.....and my babysitter. We don't work together and we're not family but she's the most important person on this earth to me, after my children! Couldn't function without her! I would do just about ANYTHING for her because without her my world ceases to exist!

I've had the same 2 close friends since the first grade. It was said above by another poster that he'd help his friends "hide the body". I'd do the same for these guys. They're closer than any of my real family. We've been in each others weddings, we're god parents to each others kids... the stuff we've been through over the last 20 years is intense.

I have a lot of other friends, but they pretty much all come from work, and they're more drinking buddies than anything else. We go out for wings and beer every couple weeks and bitch about work or other things, but none of them are anyone I'd confide anything big or ask for any big advice.

I actually have about four best friends one of whom I never see because she lives on the east coast and I live on the west coast. Most of my friends I have been friends with forever. And than I have some good friends and than some people I hang out with occasionally. I also just found out a friend I used to work with is going to be taken off life support this week.
