I surreptitiously crossed the state line of PA/OH today in order to play 18 holes in the more-enlightened state of Ohio. After scheduling this holy event, the Governor of my home Commonwealth saw the figurative light, and agreed to open our own golf courses, albeit with the usual neurotic strictures.
As is my usual custom, I played 16 holes reasonably well and two holes with amazing ineptness. Not a good score.
Essentially all of my golf comrades are over 70 years of age - as I am - and I humbly acknowledge that "we" were not, as a group - the Picture of Health. Hence we are among the group who should be most concerned about the current plague.
I have decided to petition the Commonwealth of Pennslvania to coin a new License Plate slogan for Geezers such as me:
"Give me Golf or give me Death!"
Or something like that.
