We need a DEFINITION of that....

A wellness visit is normally conducted when a concerned friend or family member hasn't heard from a loved one in a while and can't get over to see them in person. For example, you talk every Sunday to your aged mother who lives alone. One Sunday she doesn't answer the phone and you can't get up with her all day. On Monday you call the police and ask them to check on your Mom and they stop by, knock on the door and make sure she's okay or break the door down to find that she fell and broke her hip. That's a wellness visit.
