In the private prison industry, longer sentences earn more money from the state.

Since 2003, Ciavarella received millions of dollars in bribes for condemning minors to maximum prison sentences. In one case, Ciavarella sentenced a 10-year-old to two years in a detention facility for accidentally bottoming out his mother’s car.

According to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, over 5,000 young men and women were unjustly sentenced to prison and denied their constitutional rights. Many of them have now been released and cleared of their charges.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has overturned some 4,000 convictions issued by him between 2003 and 2008, claiming he violated the constitutional rights of the juveniles – including the right to legal counsel and the right to intelligently enter a plea. Some of the juveniles he sentenced were as young as 10-years old.

Yes, they are liberal judges, liberal courts and liberal controlled states. I remember hearing one story of a liberal judge giving a kid 5 years for possession of less than a few grams of marijuana in his ashtray. His young life was detroyed. How many young lives have been destroyed by these crooked judges?

That's a good start.

Now how about those CORPORATIONS that bribed him>

What are they getting? hHeavy fines and a slap on the wrist?

Hey I have a thought,

How about a mass execution of the officers of that corporation AND the members of the board, too?

YOu people can't understand why FOR PROFIT prisons are a bad idea?

Here is a perfects example of why they are.

You fear oppressive government?

FEAR a government that can make money by putting you (or your children) in prison even more.

Note here that it took a GOVERNMENT and a CORPORATION gone wrong to make this travesty of justice complete?

And what their motive for doing this?

Because GREED is a VIRTUE to sociopathic personalities like these guys.

Now that Obama has introduced $ 1.40 pay wage to prison inmates - to manufacture products for worldwide export that is exactly what we are going to see here. This was his idea of competition with global communist exporters like China and NK ( using made in china and made in russia labels ) are doing. If he uses prison labor at $1.40 an hour he can afford to compete with communist nations and put our own companies out of business as they cannot afford to compete with Chinas slave labor pay much less Obama's.

Imagine being an inmate who has a talent for building plasma tvs' your parole hearing comes and goes and you never get released. Why? Because you are a valuable employee. I believe Obama made a very bad mistake with that idea. it's illegal. - Jeri
