Now tht are at NEW YEAR'S EVE,It's about time for everyone to get on board with the usual way of describing years. This isn't mandatory, but it just would be nice if this new year, we would all finally be on the same page with how we call the year. The two thousand and something was OK when it was '07, '08, etc , but it's really better if we all say it the same way, and the way it always has been saed,
And how is that, you ask ? Well, if we talked about the War of 1812, we didn't say one thousand eight hundred and twelve. We say EIGHTEEN-twelve, right ? And if we talk about when WORLD WAR II ended, we say NINETEEN-forty five.
So, 200 years ago would be EIGHTEEN-sixteen. And 100 years ago, would be NINETEEN-sixteen. And our new year now, would be TWENTY-sixteen. Everybody got that ? Thank you for your cooperation.
Have I had anything to drink ? Oh. a couple, yeahhhhh.
