Politics makes you weary....

give me pastrami on rye and then we talk pinky
The sweeping, broad-brush term "Liberal" should be discarded. The vast population of Liberals are generally reasonable. It's the partisan ideologue morons such as "Truthmattersnot" to which you meant to refer, and this idiot is NOT a Liberal by any stretch of the definition.

See?

Do I get my pastrami on rye or not?
No.

You get a wet willy in the ear!

You were WRONG on everything you spouted for the last few decades.

Your ideas have failed and you think anyone should listen to your ideas now?

You guys failed, your ideas failed.

You crashed the economy ,allowed the US to be HIT on our own soil and then USED the worlds sympathy to do a war of agression built on lies.

You guys FAILED so dont expect any respect for your failed ideas

Well just in case you wonder,, we don't respect you assholes either.

yes, it was a broad brush statement, I realize that there are exceptions....doesn't make it any less true.
Actually, it probably depends on how much attention one was paying. Myself, I saw alot of dissent and complaining, and very little "hunky dory" and it's obvious this was reflected on election day 2006 and again in 2008.

Yes, it was FINALLY reflected late in 2006 with the turn of the tables in the election...but this WAS 6 YEARS after President Bush and the republicans being in power....the last 2 years of President Bush, there were conservatives that woke up...but the first 6 years, or darn near it, they were few and far between....and I was paying attention.

The 2004 reelection of President Bush, seemed like the End of the World to Liberals, seemed like there was no hope in saving our country....2006 elections gave liberals some HOPE again, even before obama stepped on to the national scene....

it is what is....we are being played like a violin.
The left-right dichotomy keeps the sheep fighting, keeps them distracted.

No surprize you hate facts and ideas that work willow

what ideas do you have that work,, so far we are ten times worse off then we were a year ago.. and did you ever explain to us why obamalama insists on letting 45 thousand people a year die for another four years????

how truely blind the right is to the facts.

A few years ago, when Democratic staffers in the Senate were frantically poring over a massive Omnibus bill they had been handed the night before the scheduled vote, they discovered a tiny provision that had not been in any of the previous versions. The item would have given senators on the Appropriations Committee access to the private records of any taxpayer -- essentially endowing a few selected hacks in the Senate with the license to snoop into the private financial information of all Americans.

"We were like, 'What the hell is this?' ?says one Democratic aide familiar with the incident. "It was the most egregious thing imaginable. It was just lucky we caught them."

COVER STORY: Time to Go! Inside the Worst Congress Ever : Rolling Stone

But... you're just fine with the government theft of our personal medical information, right? And you understand that it's a seizure of private property without reasonable cause? Whether one argues that a medical record is the property of the patient or the doctor, one thing it damn sure isn't... is the property of the U.S. government.
Yet by 2014, per the Porkulus bill, they're to be taken without the use of a warrant as one would need today.

Were you also okay with the suggested legislation in the government option which would have allowed bureaucrats to peek into our bank accounts? Are you okay with Interpol being exempted from FOIA while operating on our soil? And so forth...

Midnight Marauder is exactly right. 2006 and 2008 didn't happen because your pathetic socialist candidates are 'all that'. They happened because Republicans didn't support incumbents who had failed to live with integrity.

What a huge exageration, to say the least.... we are NOT 10 times worse than we were a year ago...all HELL broke loose a year and 2 months ago.

You are? Are you earning 1/10th of what you earned a year ago? Are you 1/10th as healthy?

What, exactly, is ten times worse? Or are you just wailing hysterically?

Flailing. Let's use the right term.

And let's apply it to Truthmattersnot as well.

Oh, I dunno... I'd have to say that it's necessary, in political terms, to follow suggested courses of legislative action to the "worst case scenario", even when those scenarios are unlikely to come to fruition.

We can only understand the folly of healthcare as a "right" when we follow to the end of the path and see that if government MUST provide healthcare because it's a "right", then in the case of catastrophic failure of resources actual conscription of citizens could be in the offing as well as severe rationing.

All legislation has both intended and UNintended consequences. It's when we follow the "exaggerated" line of thought that we can fully explore the consequences of what we do.

you cannot expect the libtards to think beyond their ear lobes. So far theyhaven't found a single solitary fault with what is going on. So in their world things are "hunky dory."

The same crap was said about SS and medicare.

Why do you think other countries are more capable than us at constructing a system?

Many other countries have single payer systems and far better health care than us FOR LESS THAN WE PAY NOW.

The only accurate statement in the whole thing is Obama is going to allow people to die before health care reform kicks in. I foresee being worse in the next year. Interest rates will rise and make lending harder. I sell big ticket items. This is not good. Consumers will continue to withdraw from the economy. Jobs will not materialize. The government will require more of my income to carry out their plans, while most likely bringing me into a position to need their assistance. For me, that will be a step closer to Hell.
