I mentioned this in another post...we're already seeing the beginnings of a political shift that is going to occur over the next decade. That being blue collar workers and labor unions--traditionally a guaranteed Democrat voting block--abandoning the Democrat party. It started during the 2020 election season, with several unions that had never endorsed a Republican candidate endorsing Trump, and he received unprecedented support from blue collar voters who had never voted R before 2020. The fact of the matter is Democrats haven't had the best interests of the working class in mind for decades, they just sold them out with subtle policies that flew under the radar of most people who were busy living their lives. But in the last 6-8 years, the platform that the Democrats openly advocate has changed dramatically, and it is objectively detrimental to working class Americans. They are beginning to see this.

The shift is happening, graduallly at first then boom, it will eventually be the norm. It's just hard for someone who has voted one way their entire life to consider actually voting for the other party, as political affiliation has become synonymous with sports fandom. Even if your team sucks, you'd rather eat a bowl of nails than root for their rival. But sticking with that analogy, when it gets to the point that supporting your team means threatening your livelihood and your ability to put food on the table, it's a lot easier to make that decision.

The fact that union leaders are typically in the pocket of Dem politicians is a separate problem, but one that will likely solve itself by workers eventually kicking those people to the curb.

Because as long as it's nice their backyard they don't want to do anything. It's always "someone else's problem" aka the American people. As in, real Americans.

They are the like the bosses we have all experienced. The ones that walk around with their hands in their pockets just making decisions off the cuff with no real experience or consideration for what the results of those decisions are and they are happy as long as everyone obeys and they get the illusion of being a leader. And when things go south, they just stand around pointing fingers and telling others to fix it.

This new breed of democrats don't want to lead, they just want the illusion of being leaders.

I recall some asshole in San Francisco bitching about how his medical costs skyrocketed after Obamacare was passed.

It was in some article….he said, “I want everyone to get healthcare, but I dont want to pay for it.”
