Russia says U.S. is responsible for deadly Ukrainian attack on Crimea​

MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russia said on Sunday that the United States was responsible for a Ukrainian attack on the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula with five U.S.-supplied missiles that killed at least five people including three children and injured 124 more.


The Russian Defence Ministry said four of the U.S.-delivered Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles, equipped with cluster warheads, were shot down by air defence systems and the ammunition of a fifth had detonated in mid-air.

The ministry said U.S. specialists had set the missiles' flight coordinates on the basis of information from U.S. spy satellites, meaning Washington was directly responsible.

"Responsibility for the deliberate missile attack on the civilians of Sevastopol is borne above all by Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, and by the Kyiv regime, from whose territory this strike was carried out," the ministry said.

The United States began supplying Ukraine with longer range ATACMS missiles, which have a 300-km range, earlier this year.

Reuters was unable to immediately verify battlefield reports from either side.

They gave the weapons to the terrorists. They gave them intelligence information and tell them about the targets. Usually, both sides attack at night to minimize the body count of civilian victims. This time it was attack in the middle of the day. It's quite possible that those weapons were operated officially or nonofficially by American operators. Anyway, the only reason why Kievan terroristic regime is still existing, is American support. When it became clear (even for the most wishfulthinkg American decision-makers), that Ukraine can't win on the battlefield, they, quite likely, changed their strategy to psychological warfare (aka terrorism) in Russia. At least two, may be three, terroristic attacks in the day of Saint Trinity? It doesn't seems as coincidence for me.
But, of course, it needs not only retaliation, but the proper investigation, too. But some kind of retaliation seems to be necessary.

True. I'm probably the last one to realize this but giving Zoolinsky permission to strike Russia with NATO weapons gave the moron the chance to involve the West directly on a whim. But then again the US knew that when he was given permission so I guess the US is responsible for this attack no matter from whatever angle you look at it. I hope that Putin strikes the US (either in the US itself or abroad) but that he choses military targets. Any family "dependants" who perish will just have to be considered "tough shit".
