Suppose there are two people: 1) a major atheist scientist who made an invaluable contribution to world science and thereby benefited all of humanity, and 2) an ordinary believer-hermit, a recluse and a righteous man, from whom there is zero benefit to humanity - the Lord God is greater than any of them appreciates?

Mark 12:41-44

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

That's like asking who is most important to Santa and the Easter bunny. Who would get the most eggs and presents?

While the god only deals out guilt to the faithful.

THE EIGHT BEATITUDES OF JESUS

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Gospel of Matthew 5:3-10

Seems this Gospel is the exact opposite of the far right conservatives who vote for Republicans.

God is love. He loves both. Who best responds to God's love?

How are you imagining your atheist? Is is contribution to world science based on the love he has for humanity, or for the love he has of science? Is he making his contribution anonymously, or does he want his name as well known as Sir Isaac Newton or Albert Einstein?

Also, many atheists claim they want nothing from God--wouldn't worship even if His existence could be proven and have decided heaven is a boring existence. If the atheist wants nothing from God but to be left alone, God will honor that wish.

not really. In Hell he will have lots of demons and damned souls to "keep company" with...

and contrary to what some young folks think... it won't be a perpetual party

The latter of course.

Which is one of the reasons that Christian faith is massively inconsistent.

Omni attributes like eternal love, grace, power and justice do not couple with eternal damnation for being unconvinced of something that has zero evidence.
