Read The Supreme Court Ruling On Presidential Immunity

Time enough has passed and reality is starting to break through the media shit storm -- we get what I've been talking about:

Trump wasn’t exonerated by the presidential immunity ruling, even though he says he was

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday misrepresented in a social media post what the U.S. Supreme Court’s Monday ruling on presidential immunity means for his civil and criminal cases.

“TOTAL EXONERATION!” he wrote in the post on his Truth Social platform. “It is clear that the Supreme Court’s Brilliantly Written and Historic Decision ENDS all of Crooked Joe Biden’s Witch Hunts against me, including the WHITE HOUSE AND DOJ INSPIRED CIVIL HOAXES in New York.”

But none of Trump’s pending cases have been dismissed as a result of the ruling, nor have the verdicts already reached against him been overturned. The ruling does amount to a major victory for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, whose legal strategy has focused on delaying court proceedings until after the 2024 election.

Here’s a closer look at the facts.

FACT FOCUS: Trump wasn’t exonerated by the presidential immunity ruling, even though he says he was

Legal counsel wouldn't go along or they would quit.

They did not during his attempt to steal the election.

Just like Joe Biden and his memory? Bet that doesn't count.

Pretty much the same thing, though I am not sure Biden's doctor said he had the best memory of any president ever. Do you have a link to that?

Only in your head. Immediate congressional investigations.

Again, history says they will. Ask Rudy

There are two issues. One is how the decision affects the Trump current and future prosecutions, and the already decided cases.

The second issue is the decision itself and how it affects the Office of the Presidency, and in effect the Executive branch of government.

Much of what to me is of most interest and concern (not alarm), is how most of what is being written about and argued in media has yet to be tested in the courts. I suspect that at some future date the decision will be revisited and amended if not challenged as being constitutionally valid.

I have long held an opinion of being for a strong and robust Executive. What that means exactly would fill a whole nother thread,.

And people can see how it will impact future presidencies. And it isn't pretty.

Motion To Dismiss Indictment Based on Presidential Immunity in No. 1 :23-cr-00257 (DC) , ECF Doc. 74, p. 9.

Trump argued that all of the indictment's allegations fell within the core of his official duties. Id. , at 27. And he contended that a President has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions performed within the outer perimeter of his official responsibilities, to ensure that he can undertake the especially sensitive duties of his office with bold and unhesitating action. Id. , at 14, 24.
No words left out, liar.

If anyone distorted the facts, my man......it is you.

Taking your football and going home?

Your comments with supposed quotations of exact wording:
Trump moved to dismiss the indictment
based on Presidential immunity, arguing that a President has absolute

immunity from criminal prosecution for actions performed within the
outer perimeter of his official responsibilities, and that the indict-
ment’s allegations fell within the core of his official duties

and btw: "The District Court denied the motion to dismiss, holding that “former Presidents do not possess absolute federal criminal immunity for any acts committed while in office." and the Roberts' opinion does not disagree there.

So you should have known what I was referring to then....like I said, I gave you credit for having read your own OP.....

The first and third paragraphs of the opinion and you didn't have a clue .....🤔
The problem is you are trying to score points. I have been trying to discuss the opinion. I have no urge or desire to try and turn a discussion of such a momentous decision into a pissing contest.

have a good day Mr. Dead-from-the-neck-up.

No kidding..............the tickler that you keep leaving out was 'official acts' as affirmed in the SCOTUS decision. So who is distorting the facts now, clown man?

The problem is you are trying to score points. I have been trying to discuss the opinion.
Not interested in scoring points, only pointing out you have been caught distorting the facts for your own political gain.
I have no urge or desire to try and turn a discussion of such a momentous decision into a pissing contest.
Maybe try and report the facts instead of distorting them for your own wanky pulling pleasure.

OBTW- bet you haven't realized that your page 32 waa-waa was about Trump claiming immunity for having criminal charges filed after being acquitted of charges during impeachment. He was no longer president. However, in an official act, Trump was answering and defending Himself in an impeachment, and being acquitted, then charged after leaving office, most likely falls under the immunity finding.

Suck it up Pussy.

Doesn't really matter. Superpowers are going to same way empires did. Power corrupts.
Seems so.
Seems there’s a limit to the human quest for power where it turns counter productive and becomes destructive unto itself.

Who knew? :dunno:

It’s not like anyone has warned of such pitfalls.

Nope. Mentioned in my comments.

Again, as I've said,

You've proven yourself wrong several times now..................and can't prove me wrong.

Pro Crusties done f**ked up.

have a good day Mr. Dead-from-the-neck-up.
