Zone1 Really?

I won't argue with you about that (Paul cautioned about useless arguments).
I don't want to argue about it either. I just want to go on record as disagreeing with you about it.

My Biblical beliefs have served me well. :)
So you're with Ding and me now, or are you still a literal believer?

The test: How old is the earth?

Or if you would rather: How did Jonah make out?

Or: Adam and Eve or evolution?

Well... For one, they don't have the same Holy Book. 2. By, and large, there are very different views on praying to the dead, and Sainthood. There's a lot. And you know this. Not judging Catholics in this thread, but definitely not the same.
And don't forget that the Catholics are permitted by the Pope to dump Adam and Eve and believe in Darwinian evolution.

I don't know of any of the 'also ran' denoms being allowed that.

No one asked you.
I'm volunteering this without being asked.

Now that Catholics believe in evolution and have dumped the 'Adam and Eve' bullsh-t story, are they still considered to be Christians?

That's great, but you didn't understand the point of my question. So all you did was insert yourself unnecessarily and waste my time in the process.

But putting that aside, belief that the universe popped into existence and evolved sequentially over time isn't new. It's been around for 6,000 years. Which would be 5,800 years before science discovered it.

And that the universe popped into existence being created from nothing and evolving sequentially over time until beings that know and create arose as told in Genesis.

You have a bad habit of misusing referent authority at my expense. That's a clear sign that I am in your head and have triggered you.

Those questions were for Woodnutz. Thaey don't apply to you and other Catholics. You get to believe what you want to believe and you've already chosen the literal bibles.

You have my special permission to believe in evolution too.

Don't forget now, the god created everything, except for everything.

Your church sold the farm and it's been trying to buy it back ever since it did the big backslide.

Answers to all questions asked by *all Christians.

I feel like you have the arguments of an eight year old. And it was YOU that brought me into it. Hence the reference to referent authority. It's like you think I am important or something.

We will never be truly Catholic unless we conform our entire lives to the two commandments that are the essence of the Catholic faith: to love the Lord, our God, with all our strength, and
A lot of the people there would understand what I have been trying to say to a lot of the people here.

a lot of people at a physics seminar would understand your convictions for others to live their lives under commandments of the catholic church as being truly religious ... really.

* of course let not jesus gave their life in repudiation of judaism's false 10 commandments and taught liberation theology, self determination be a deterrent to your catholic beliefs to impose on others.

It's even less complicated than that! Christians don't have a choice on whether to believe their bibles.

But Catholics have been given a choice.

That's why modern atheists, you, and me, know it's baloney.

Just look at that photo of the ark and tell us it's not real!

You see it that way only because you don't understand what it is or its context. The reader is obliged to read the text as written, which includes literal and symbolic aspects that are properties belonging to the author’s descriptive portrayal of reality. Since you don't place these texts in context and don't understand the point of the accounts you have no chance of reading these texts as the author intended. Your explanation for each account is skewed by your belief that these accounts are idiotic, so you provide an explanation that is idiotic. My explanation for each account is based on reading the text as written, which includes literal and symbolic aspects that are properties belonging to the author’s descriptive portrayal of reality. So my explanation won't sound idiotic. My explanation will make a lot of sense. Which you will promptly dismiss because you are so certain you can't be wrong about anything. The problem is I'm going to ass fuck you with logic, common sense, facts and evidence until you run away.

Who said I was "imposing" anything on anyone?

I do, I do understand the points that are symbolic and I think that you understand the symbolic points as well!

And I understand the points that are literally true to be literally true.

your problem is that you believe that it's not all literally true but you can't say that because you would be sent to Firelake.

And so you're forever condemned to having to pretend that stories such as Jonah and the big fish' story is literally true.

And a whole bunch of stories that are lies too!

You smartened up for a while and we found common ground on the bibles being bullsh-t, and you can't unmake that now.

We need to talk about it. Your church gave you permission to believe what I believe for a good reason. The problem with the big fish story is at the top of the list! I mean fuk my friend, day 1 comes before day 4 regardless of the squirming of the low intelligence christian rabble's dance routines![/B]

Probably billions of years old.
How is this a test?
You passed the test!

You didn't mention the bogus 6000 years old crap!

And that means that you choose evolution over the Adam and Eve lies!

That's what Ding believes too but he can't say because he's still afraid of the Firelake thing.

Catholics don't count Ter. They are allowed to believe the earth is flat, round, or square.

The Pope said so!
