But he did break the rules and got caught

However with NIL (name, image, and likeness) the landscape has drastically changed

I remember years ago in the Atlanta airport waiting for a plane heading to Tallahassee Fl.
I saw Charlie Ward at a bar, decked out literally in a fur coat with his entourage, it
went down to his knees. This was before he won the Heisman Trophy.
I thought to myself at that time that somebody paid some big bucks for that.
