One of our highly esteemed posters, Wade, has referenced the concept of regulated capitalism. I was wondering what he meant by this and queried him with possibilites?

"Do you mean personal income taxation, corporate taxation, minimum wage laws, osha restrictions? Prey tell, wade, what do you mean?".

I have gotten no response but am intrigued still by his concept. Can anyone else help wade illuminate me? Or maybe wade will indulge us with a further elaboration of his concept.

What is meant by "regulated capitalism"?

(and if it's just a fancy way of saying socialism, we don't want any!)

It strikes me as being the same kind of outrageous oxymoron as "managed competition". Only a liberal could say these things with a straight face.
