And have you noticed those days are gone to a major extent? The change is primarily because the Demonicrat party has progressively found new lows. They don't stand for any principles, and what principles they claim are free-flowing contingent on the latest trend built on lies triggering "your feelings"..

While there are surely bad Republicans, the core-values for conservatives is mostly stagnant, stands the test of time, decency, consistency, and principles of science & math. Even many of the "bad Republican politicians" is make-believe, look at Trump for shit's sake, everything they claim to dislike about him they built as a fabrication. Pence is a great example too, he's no good because why? Roy Moore was another example, they pinned pedophile on the guy, completely fabricated.

Conservative is an option, while demonicrat is no option at all.

There are no conservatives anymore. The driving forces rhetoric are the radical on both sides playing to their extremes and as some have pointed out, the two parties are basically the same, vying for power with power the primary goal.

It's not just political parties, it's PEOPLE. PROGS have revealed their true colors, PROG is no option. Generally speaking, conservatives are better people.

Nothing wrong with actually thinking of actual progress, but true progress can only be achieved through a conservative thought process. Radical change without regard to forward looking consequence can without a doubt lead to unacceptable consequences and has throughout history. Have nothing against progress if it actually is progress. Have nothing really against change as long as not change for changes sake. I do not like radical change, period. I like my politics for this country to be ground in and based on the vision and laws of the constitution. I do not like and will not follow anyone who openly lies to me, and swears it's me or fake if I don't buy it. I will not follow anyone who does not act in recognition of who our old enemies (countries and philosophies) were and actually still are. I will not follow anyone that seem intent on governing and directing to the advantage of the few, over the many. I think of this Prog thing as more about segment of domestic policy than anything else. Still, it must be guided by the constitution not the whims and desires popular economic status. Like nation building outside our boarders, we have never been good at effecting long term positive change, with incurring long term negative results.

There are nearly no "conservatives" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean anymore) left in the GOP...It's neocons, populists, with a few libertarian-lite types sprinkled in.

The days of Robert Taft and Barry Goldwater are long, long gone.
