Maine Gov. Paul LePage vetoed the state's two-year, $6.3 billion state budget Monday, sending the spending plan back to lawmakers who will attempt to override the veto to avoid a government shutdown.

Would the shutdown be caused by the legislature submitting an unacceptable budget?

It's the fault of whichever side is Republican.

I blame the legislator. They want to raise taxes instead of doing the right thing...they also want to give money to the admin section of government and not for specific programs that way its easier for the money to "get lost" and find its way other places...specific programs is much better. By LePage wanting the money for specific programs it helps people who need the help to get schooling in tech and adult ed programs which in turn gets them employed and off welfare...
