I have 3 friends who are gay. Two are men. Besides being gay, the thing that they all have in common was a tragic childhood. Abuse, death of a parent/sibling, and a combination of both.

I personally believe that a person can have a genetic tendency toward homosexuality and that can get triggered by emotional trauma.

It brings up an interesting question of nature vs nurture.
