Right-wing media figures claimed a bomb threat against Boston Childrenās Hospital was a false flag up until the FBI named a suspect
On September 15, the FBI announced the arrest of the individual charged for making a bomb threat against Boston Childrenās Hospital in August. Before that, right-wing figures responsible for driving a harassment campaign against Boston Childrenās Hospital claimed that the threat was a false flag orchestrated by leftists.
After the suspectās identity was revealed, a search of the Federal Exchange Commissionās database revealed an individual matching the suspectās name and location had made more than 230 contributions exclusively to three Republican sources ā the Republican National Committee, the committeeās fundraising platform WinRed, and committees supporting the 2020 reelection campaign of Donald Trump.
Up until just hours before the announcement, anti-LGBTQ figures including Chaya Raichik, who runs the Twitter account āLibs of TikTok,ā and The Daily Wireās Matt Walsh had latched onto a quickly refuted report to claim the August bomb threat that followed in the wake of their harassment of the facility was a āfalse flagā and āleftist hoax.ā

It had to be a hoax, right? Because just how sick do you have to be to call in a bomb threat to a children's hospital? A place where desperate, frightened parents bring their children to receive medical help.
What kind of people make unfounded accusations of pedophilia about a state rep. because he will not go along with Trump's attempt to steal the election?
āI took an oath,ā Rusty Bowers, the Arizona House speaker, says of rejecting efforts to overturn the election.
Over nearly an hour, Rusty Bowers, a Republican who is the speaker of the House of Representatives in Arizona, testified on Tuesday in painstaking and emotional detail about the pressure campaign he faced over several weeks after the Nov. 3, 2020, election, in which President Donald J. Trump lost the state.
Mr. Bowers, speaking slowly, also told the House select committee about the harassment he experienced outside his home from Trump supporters in the weeks before Jan. 6, 2021, in which he was called a āpedophileā and other epithets.
Mr. Bowers, who spoke about the Constitution in reverential and spiritual terms, had tears in his eyes as he described his gravely ill daughter enduring some of the harassment outside their house. (She died in late January.) āIt was disturbing,ā he said. āIt was disturbing.ā

The answer, MAGA Repubs. The same people who made threats of physical violence against school board members, and poll workers, and teachers..........and now doctors and nurses.
Boston Children's Hospital warns employees over far-right online harassment campaign
Boston Childrenās Hospital has warned employees about mounting threats and is coordinating with law enforcement after far-right activists on social media began targeting the hospital with false claims about its treatment of young transgender people.
Itās the most recent in a series of attempts to target hospitals for their work with trans youth, adding to an ongoing wave of anti-LGBTQ sentiment that has hit libraries, schools and even a trans-inclusive Los Angeles spa.
The public relations office of Boston Childrenās Hospital sent an email to employees with guidance on how to respond to harassment and threats earlier this week, citing an āincrease of threatening and aggressiveā phone calls and emails sent to the hospital commenting on treatment of transgender patients.ā The email was confirmed to NBC News by a current employee.

How Trump Spread Incitement of Violence Throughout the GOP
Just hours after federal agents entered Mar-a-Lago on August 8 to seize highly classified national security documents, Rep. Paul Gosar urged a fight to the finish. āThe FBI raid on Trumpās home tells us one thing,ā the far-right Arizona congressman tweeted. āFailure is not an option. We must destroy the FBI.ā
Three days later, an Ohio man named Ricky Shiffer donned tactical gear, armed himself with an AR-15, and went to the FBI field office in Cincinnati. After failing to breach the facility, he fled and later died in a shootout with law enforcement. Shiffer was a frequent user of Trumpās Truth Social site, where the ex-president has kept up steady attacks on political opponents and the Justice Department and FBI. Shiffer had posted about imminent violence, telling fellow Trump supporters to be ready āto jump into civil war.ā
