I left the US west thirty years ago, and I no longer come into contact with many youngish professionals whose parents were Spanish first or even Spanish only speakers. But most of the second generation latino immigants I met pretty much spoke English with little accent. Hell, I got an accent now from living down here so damn long. LOL

What easy unwittingly pointed out is that Schumer knows an up or down vote passes with "mayby" 30 nay in the Senate and 66 nay in the House. The House refused an up or down vote before on immigration reform that passed with 68 votes in the Senate.

So, he wants the vote or he wants the 60 or so Freedom Caucus folks to prevent a vote on something all of us will feel if it doesn't pass.

The Orange's deal with the Dems propbably means we're blowing up deficits again, but if we finally get rid of letting 60 old white men derail the "People's House" at least it won't be a total waste.

...but instead, D-Schumer stated Democrats would attach it, as if it were some DNC Pork Bill, to other critical legislation, like some pimple on a butt-cheek that has to be taken as part of the package.

If the issue can not survive on its own merrit rather than being passed only because it was a '+1' attachment then it should not be passed.
