it is long video but it tells a long story on the relationship between science and the Islamic faith.

It's very sad what happened in Islam with regard to science.

The Abbasid Empire and its embrace of rationalism saw a lot of scientific advancement.

However, rationalism, and theism do not make sound partners.

What True Story Does the Tragic Myth of Prometheus Actually Represent?

The inference that Islam has potential to be a contributor to science is misleading and doesn't add up. The Arab savages conquered intelligent races. Any scientific achievements must have come from their subjects. In history, apparent contradictions can be resolved by looking deeper.

Also, it's more logical to think that the Jews were captured by a pre-Islamic tribe of bandits and forced to learn Semitic. The contradictory Biblical passages about Ishmael are a clue. Don't take historians seriously; they are very shallow.

Forced them to learn semitic???? By the time of Adam and Eve the people of Sumer had a written language, agriculture, irrigation and sailboats.

That is another theory.

However there is evidence that a few Muslim caliphates did promote scientific thought.

That was my point.

How much was original, versus how much was 'acquired' is debatable.

They were in demand as navigators and used the kamal. In Muslim Spain they copied and translated Greek writings on science, medicine and philosophy.

Islam became too religious and it killed its science inventions
Why Martin Luther, Though Anti-Science Himself, Liberated Science

When Christianity divided into sects, that led to the freedom of science because the original science-denier, the Catholic Church, had its hands full trying to destroy Protestantism and could no longer make an extra effort to suppress rational thought.
