A Hawaii-based scientist narrowly avoided the jaws of death after nearly jumping into a tiger shark’s mouth, as seen in this nail-biting Instagram video.
“Moments after the video I shared in my last post I saw a shark bumping some floating plastic so I rushed in and this was my greeting,” Ocean Ramsey, who operates Oahu-based One Ocean Diving, wrote in an Instagram post describing said shark.
The 35-year-old researcher had reportedly captured the blood-pounding moment while preparing to get into the water after spotting a tiger interacting with floating trash.
However, Ramsey nearly became lunch after the toothy hunter, dubbed Queen Nikki, breached the water and appeared to bite her flippers.
