How a District Used the Biliteracy Seal to Expand Language Instruction
The St. Paul public schools in Minnesota has seen success in its Karen language program.

Students who have demonstrated a mastery of another language in addition to English can earn a seal on their high school diploma that distinguishes them to prospective employers from other applicants. It is a valuable distinction. It also seems that the fact that the seal is available can encourage school districts to promote languages that otherwise might not be. Win-win.
