In answer to a question about whether he or the administration had made a formal request to El Salvador to "return" Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
"Because foreign policy belongs to the president of the United States, not some judge."
He's right. Nor did any judge have the power to order a pilot in command of U.S. military plane over international waters to reverse the course set for him or her by the chain of command.
In the Army, I was required to memorize my chain of command in several units. Not one time was there a judge in that chain.
So, what now? Will any judge hold the Secretary of State in contempt, and send a bailiff to apprehend him?
