People are not ceasing to sell or be associated with the Confederate Flag because of strong convictions about the message it (supposedly) sends.
Their concern for themselves, their image, publicity/public relations is the ONLY reason they do it.
In other words, it's entirely selfish.
People can say they are making a stand, but it's not about that at all. The media and politicians sensationalize something and get the "ignorant" masses worked up into a frenzy by bombarding them will a bunch of garbage, then, businesses and celebrity's have to "react" accordingly to keep their customers and fan base (or endorsers!)
What a joke.
