So would I. Further, I believe such classes should be mandatory for those gun owners who cannot pass a qualification test.I would support the NRA conducting firearm safety classes throughout the US.
Owning guns and not knowing how to handle and use them is dangerous to others and useless to the owner.
Agreed. One of the biggest problems in modern society are people who watch too many television shows and movies. I full support the idea of safety and training classes taught by competent instructors. I always find it mildly amusing to hear those who would "disarm" America spouting the idea that "a gun will be taken away from the owner and used against you". And, while the idea has "some" merit - no one will EVER take a gun away from a trained individual.
Rather than fearing firearms - it only takes a matter of minutes to understand that a firearm is nothing more than a tool. It will NOT jump off a shelf and shoot them.
