Illegal alien A commits a violent crime. He’s arrested in a red state. He’s turned over to ICE. He is sent back to Mexico where he can come back across the border and commit more crimes.
Illegal alien B commits a violent crime. He’s arrested in a blue state. Sometimes he’s turned over to ice, sometimes he is released before ICE puts a detainer on him. When ICE does get him, he is sent back to Mexico where he can come back across the border and commit more crimes. Not a huge amount of difference except for the month or two he spends coming back across the border. Its like having a speed bump in the road.
What I think should happen is that A/B commits a violent crime and is arrested. He stays in jail. No bond becuase being here illegally certainly demonstrates he flaunts the law, has no real local ties, and is a threat to flee. He then is tried and if convicted, he goes to prison. That is called justice (or what passes for it anyway). If he is found not guilty...he is deported. After his stretch in prison, he gets deported.
