You aren't suing an inanimate object, a plot of land that humans call China, you are suing individual leaders of these parties. They might not even see a courtroom, but the principle is important.

As an example, how many times has Trump been sued? Why can't President Xi face the same in a U.S court, or, even International Courts if there is fault in this as a crime against humanity. I'm sure someone can piece together and make an argument for.
