He would not have been in Annapolis, nor qualified for cook if his father was not an Admiral. You can try to escape this as long as you want, but the men who took off with McBoob on his last flight and did their jobs well are unknown. Thus a hero was made of an idiot

Many cadets, Annapolis, West Point, etc, are there because their parents, grandparents, etc were military.

McCain didn't stand out from his classmates in that regard.

I know all about the 'Forrestall', aka the Fire sale, one of the ships I was on was docked close to it, and heard about that fire, and several others, giving it it's nickname.

I didn't mean to say the fire didn't happen, I meant that it was not McCains fault.
