Several Democrats did not feel comfortable voting to give Bush the authorization to declare war if Iraq did not comply but there is a time when America stands together. Democrats knew that a public fight with the President was not in the best interest in the country. Democrats put country first. A lesson lost on Republicans.

Why's this gone on so long? Well it's obvious. The Administration has not been forthcoming during the investigation.

Only in January of this year did we discover that the Pentagon knew it was immediately a terror attack. Emails have come out about the coverup.

Colbert can scream all he wants. With the new special panel with Rep. Gowdy leading it, may be we can get to bottom of this mess.

Nuland wrote in protest to the CIA description, saying it "could be abused by members (of Congress) to beat up on the State Department for not paying attention to warnings," in an email to the White House and the CIA, according to ABC.

The intelligence memo was the basis for Rice's public statements in September 2012.

The PR spin to describe the attack as spontaneous rather than pre-planned was seen as a move to protect the State Department from being blamed for not adequately providing security and anticipating the attack.

The president knows what he wants (any president) and it is an unwritten rule that his advisors work to get him what he wants. If Obabble wants the voters to believe that he defeated AQ....that AQ is on the run...then his staff will work to sustain that belief. They will sift thru the possible explanations for why Benghazi happened and will pick the one that fits the presidents needs/ beliefs. They will build the script, rehearse the actors...and put on the show...and they will deny all other possible explanations. That's what happened here. The repubs are out to prove that point...that the administration failed to provide security...lied about the video, will not disclose what the CINC ordered be done, and failed to act to protect our people. No one will be impeached...dems will still believe Obabble is a hero, and that Hillary is a whiz. Hopefully they will be in the minority in 2016. Otherwise we be fugged.
