students protest blm taken off mural in school

If a mural makes them happy and proud, let them have it.

We all know that these murals exaggerate the achievements of certain groups, but so what?

Be kind.

Be tolerant.

I know about a former teacher in a high school that told me this story.

During the month dedicated to honoring you-know-whom, the loudspeaker each morning would have someone announce some achievement accomplished by people of that group.

The reports would often be exaggerated. But it was sympathetic toward that group. The students in that teacher's class were not fooled. Each time they heard some ridiculous claim, they would just laugh out loud.

Schools should NOT be promoting that ideology. Its wrong.

they are not socialist.

Nordic nations—and especially Sweden—did embrace socialism between around 1970 and 1990. During the past 30 years, however, both conservative and social democratic-led governments have moved toward the center. Today, the Nordic social democrats have adopted stricter immigration policies, tightened eligibility requirements for welfare benefit systems, taken a tougher stance on crime, and carried out business-friendly policies.
