It would have been interesting to see how Susan Rice's tantrum would look if he'd fired her specifically and replaced her in the seat with Condoleezza Rice. Or better yet, instigated a little in-party catfighting and replaced her with Maxine Waters. That would have been interesting.

When Barack Obama came into office, he fired everybody. Mostly white guys, but a few women and a few blacks, and nobody ever called him a racist or a woman hater.
