Trump is a con-artist and an authoritarian. He's smart when it comes to manipulating people, but that's about the only intelligence he has (same is true of his Apartheid Bro, Elon). They are destroying this country. If they can fuck up so horrendously, so early in his term before a) they have a chance to destroy the country irreparably, and b) before they set up an authoritarian system that's difficult to dismantle, we will be better off for it.

What Trump's stated goals are with respect to tariffs, for example, are not wrong; it's the implementation of them that is incompetent.
