The FLQ is a French Canadian terrorist organization, inspired by the Quebec sovereignty movement. They kidnapped James Cross, the British Trade Commissioner, and the Quebec Vice-Premier and Minister of Labour, Pierre Laporte, who they later murdered, among other things.
