The left’s war on the U.S.

The left has long held a deep contempt for the United States. It started out mostly by manifesting itself through an attack on our documents (the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independent, etc.) but has since moved on to our military. Initially it was merely verbal assaults (screams of “baby killers” of vets returning home from Vietnam), but the left soon realized that verbal assaults weren’t enough - and they decided to create a comprehensive strategy against our military - which included defunding them (both during service and post-service). Stripping our men and women in uniform of the basic equipment and training they needed, and stripping our veterans of the healthcare they had earned.
New York lawmakers on Tuesday refused to advance a bill that would have provided free college tuition to the families of all military personnel from the state who were killed in the line of duty. The move comes a week after lawmakers passed a $175 billion state budget that included $27 million to provide college tuition aid for illegal aliens.
The left took it to a whole new level this week when they passed legislation providing college tuition for illegal aliens while blocking legislation providing college tuition for children of military personnel who died serving our country. These actions served two purposes. First, it punishes Americans for serving the U.S. And second, it serves as a dog whistle to the rest of the world: invade the U.S. and we will provide you with full material support (housing, food, healthcare, and even “higher” education).

NY Assembly blocks free college tuition for more Gold Star families

You understand we spend more on our military than the next 10 countries in the world combined, don't you? If defunding was the goal, then it ain't working.

Didn't say Barr lied.
That’s exactly what you just said. You said he had a “credibility” problem. People who tell the truth don’t have a credibility problem.
Just have no reason to believe he didn't
Sure you do, dumb shit. It’s called “Robert Mueller”.
Mueller has remained silent, as expected
That’s because everyone has told the truth, dumb shit. :lmao:

I do wish we had a better alternative when it comes time to toss the GOP out.
We do. It’s called the Constitution Pary.

I've voted for 3rd parties and independents for years, starting with Ed Clark (Libertarian presidential candidate, 1980). Gave up that in last year's midterm. From now on it'll be doubling the voting power of my liberal wife as I'll select her pick when I feel indifferent towards the choice. May as well make one of us happy.

Great. Then as soon as the report is released, we will all see that.

Uh...the report was “released”. To the Attorney General of the United States. And you’re still whining. The report won’t cure your Trump Derangement Syndrome.

I'm a liberal Democrat, I served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict - how about you 'patriot'?
Sure you did, sparky. :itsok:

I already caught you lying about your “law enforcement” service.

You're a damn LIAR. I served most of my three years on a DD, on ASW patrol in WestPac. My GQ role was as Projectile man on a 5" gun. Sparky was a nickname for ET petty officer; I also serve at 32nd St., San Diego after boot camp at NTCSD; and later went to Camp Pendleton for NBC, Firefighting and Gas training, later still at TI I was trained how not to let a compartment flood on the Buttercup.

But I digress, when did you were, where and what did you do?

You're pretty dumb, aren't you?
People who suffer from TDS and wear tin-foil hats believe anyone who accepts reality is “dumb”.

I can't wait till 2020 November when Trump will win again.
Not a Trump fan but I am patient enough to wait and hope he'll have another Supreme Court pick before then. :)
How are you not a “Trump fan” at this point? What exactly does he need to do to win you over? Record low unemployment. Record highs in the market. Rising incomes. Lowered your taxes. Restored constitutional government. Secured the border.

If your only answer is “I’m too sensitive for what he says” then you have serious problems. Words should never Trump actions in terms of level of importance.

That’s really funny coming from the person who thinks President Trump “colluded” with Russia to “steal” the election.

From the same source:

Assemblywoman Deborah Glick, D-Manhattan, who chairs the committee, said in a statement Wednesday that an existing state scholarship program provides generous tuition aid to children, spouses and financial dependents of military members killed in combat zones.

“The bill in question sought to extend this program to cover any service members killed or seriously disabled in any mishap while on duty,” Glick said.

She said the committee agreed to seek more detailed information from the Department of Defense “to determine how many New Yorkers might be included in this expanded category.”

The $175 billion state budget passed last week included almost $2.7 million to provide MERIT scholarships for 145 students who are the children, spouses or dependents of New York military members who were killed or disabled in combat zones, said Mike Whyland, speaking for Assembly Democrats.

The maximum award under the decade-old program is $24,250 per student each academic year for tuition and related expenses.

“It’s a worthy program, but this bill would have expanded the eligibility beyond that scope and should be considered within the context of the budget,” Whyland said.

I personally think that it should be extended.

Say Hamas Gurl, are you actually Ilhan Omar? I mean, you have the Antisemitism and hatred of America, along with your promotion of Hamas terrorism... :dunno:

Fair question. To win me over I'll be looking at the federal deficit for this fiscal year and next. I see these deficits year-after-year which became really ridiculous during Bush's last year in office. Based on last year's deficit I'm very apathetic about next year's election. I read that the red ink is only going to get worse. I sure hope those predictions are wrong.

Unemployment fell for Obama from 10% to 4.7% in Dec 2017 (5.3% drop). Trump's unemployment fell from 4.7% to 3.8% today. (0.9% drop). Trump unemployment dropped less than 1 percentage point. Big deal.
