The Media Is Not Liberal

It hasn't been for a long time. Since Bill Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act of 1996. The rich have purchased 95% of the media and even liberal media's can only be so liberal or truthful. The rich owners censor what news can be told.

Here is a great example:

Paramount owner Shari Redstone in recent days sought to know which upcoming 60 Minutes stories were about President Donald Trump

Producer Bill Owens resigned abruptly this week, complaining that he no longer had the editorial independence to run the iconic Sunday evening news show.

Bill said "it has become clear that I would not be allowed to run the show as I have always run it, to make independent decisions based on what was right for ’60 Minutes,′ right for the audience.”

His resignation was the culmination of months of tensions between 60 Minutes and Paramount, which has taken greater interest in oversight of CBS News.

Following Trump’s demand that the FCC inflict “punishment” on CBS over a recent 60 Minutes piece on Greenland and Ukraine

A fourth source who spoke with Owens in recent days said the former producer had grown concerned that CBS’ corporate parent was becoming too interested in 60 Minutes — and that was making him uncomfortable.

Owens’ resignation comes as Paramount is hoping to close its merger with the entertainment company Skydance, which continues to be under review by federal regulators.

Liberal media? My ass
The media may not be liberal, but neither is the DNC as they basically control them

Joe Scarborough? LOL We're surprised he hasn't broken his back from the amount of water he's carried for your cult.
Exactly. All the corporate media will give us is a former Republican turned social liberal. Still probably a fiscal conservative.

Why did the media and the DNC cover for Joe Biden's dementia all those years if they are not one in the same?

Here is the problem, we all saw Joe deteriorate before our very eyes all those years, all the while the DNC and media told us how "sharp" old Joe was. But then the Trump debate and you could no longer hide it. What is worse, you could no longer lie about it..........well...............you can, and you still do, but the truth is self evident so such lying is retarded and fruitless.

Great point. The Democrats have been taken over by the rich too. Why do you think so many Democrats voted for Trump? They figured as bad as Trump is maybe he'll be better than them.

Just remember the Democrats policies created the greatest middle class the world had every seen. Trump's even trying to steal from us.

1. Kick illegals out. That used to be our position. Back when Democrats REALLY supported unions

2. Bring jobs home. Only Democrats will also support unions which make the CEO's pay the employees a living wage.

But remember this. The more liberal hosts WE wanted on MSNBC, did not get hired. Moderates got hired. People who would follow direction. The hosts I wanted would say what's on their mind like Majorie Taylor Green does. Like hosts on Fox and Newsmax get to say whatever crazy thing is on their minds.

MSNBC and CNN have too many moderates and conservatives on to be truly left.

Joe Scarborough was a Republican before 2017

During the Iraq War WMD red scare era, msnbc fired the only hosts that were critical.

Phil Donahue got canned immediately and they shelved Jesse Ventura's show before it even aired one day, because he was already showing signs of criticizing it.

They paid him off too.

msnbc is right of center network.

Dude, he wasn't just a social liberal, he was an unabashed propagandist for your party.

I've spent a couple of hours with Joe Biden, sitting, talking, going around the world as far as talking issues, talking the economy, talking inflation, talking.

But comparing that guy's mental state -- I've said it for years now: he's cogent. But I undersold him when I said he was cogent. He's far beyond cogent. In fact, I think he's better than he's ever been intellectually, analytically. Because he's been around for 50 years and, you know, I don't know if people know this or not, Biden used to be a hot head. Sometimes that Irishman would get in front of the reasoning. Sometimes he would say things he didn't want to say. This is -- and, and, I don't -- you know what? I don't really care.

Start your tape right now, because I'm about to tell you the truth. And f-you if you can't handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever.

How about this one?

Letters containing anthrax spores were mailed to several news media offices and to senators Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy, killing five people and infecting 17 others. Capitol Police Officers and staffers working for Senator Russ Feingold were exposed as well.

Tom and Patrick were the only two fighting the Patriot Act

After the 9/11 attacks and the subsequent anthrax mailings, lawmakers were pressed for legislation to combat further terrorist acts. Under heavy pressure from then Attorney General John D. Ashcroft, a bipartisan compromise in the House Judiciary Committee allowed legislation for the Patriot Act to move forward for full consideration later that month.

A theory that Iraq was behind the attacks, based upon purported evidence that the powder was weaponized and some reports of alleged meetings between 9/11 conspirators and Iraqi officials, may have contributed to the hysteria which ultimately enabled the 2003 Invasion of Iraq.

Any question Dick Cheney sent out the Anthrax?

Five letters are believed to have been mailed at this time to ABC News, CBS News, NBC News and the New York Post and to the National Enquirer

At least you agree that the media is not on the side of the public.

Baby steps.

Probably would not call them the enemy of the people like Trump does, but hey, baby steps.

Yep, I remember those sack of lies.

I vacilate between Bush II and Trump being the worst President in US history.

I usually find myself ending up on Bush II.

I haven't forgotten that time.

However, Trump is rapidly closing in, especially this go-round.

Well keep in mind I see your media sources lying to you guys constantly. Fox, Newsmax and right wing radio, which reaches a lot more people than Fox does. And Fox has a lot more viewers than MSNBC so do the math.

I do give ABC news credit for coming out and saying flat out, Trump is a threat to our democracy. So people like my aunt can't say "we didn't know". Yes you did bitch. I warned you. You argued with me. So now just admit you were wrong and I was right.

The only reason I say Bush is worse is because he lied us into Iraq. Economically, he fucked us just as bad as Trump did maybe worse. Giving tax breaks to the rich. At least Trump gave us some crumbs too. And kicking illegals out isn't the worst idea in the world.

Who's worse Donald Rumsfeld or Pete Hegseth?

JD Vance or Chaney? Chaney for sure. Although Vance is a joke. What did he just do the other day? I don't mean drop that trophy. Oh yea he killed the Pope. Last person to see him alive.

One big problem. In the 2024 election, Trump won the block of voters who make less than $50,000/year. According to voter surveys and exit polls, Kamala Harris won the majority of votes of those who make $100,000/year or more. So, if there was a shift of democrat voters to Trump, it wasn't the affluent voters who switched sides, it was the blue-collar working-class democrat who crossed over.

Foreign Policy

The democrat party hates Trump so much that they're willing to abandon policies that they had for decades just to try and stick it to Trump. YouTube is a good place to see democrats (and republicans) speaking on issues that they were once in favor of or against, and then you see the flip-flopping on the same issue. It seems like there are union leaders like the Teamsters and UAW who support Trump's tariffs.

BTW, on a personal note, I can't stand the term "living wage". There's no way that I want a Washington bureaucrat attempting to define what I should make and what kind of life I should live. Because it's not a one size fits all society.

Of course, the rich are going to get a bigger piece of the pie when it comes to tax breaks. When, in 2021, the top 10% paid 76% of federal income tax & the top 25% paid almost 90%.

Kamala may have won college educated middle class people who make $110,000 a year but I have to believe Trump got his fair share of those votes too.

And Trump duped people who make under $50,000. He's still duping them. They are expecting to make the kind of money they made in the 1990's now that illegals are gone and jobs are coming home.

And Trump is brilliant. He told them "I know things are going to get much worse for you soon. Give me 2 years". And they have drank the coolaid and put on the nike tennis shoes. They're in it to win it.

Think about this. The CEO's of Walmart, Target, etc. Those guys are telling Trump to knock off the trade wars. He's going to tank the economy. They are not happy with him. But they voted for him right? The CEO of Walmart is not a Democrat.

And you're saying Trump fooled the Walmart employees into believing he would get Walmart to pay them more? And he would lower prices too right? How's that coming along?

I would give the rich no tax breaks. I would give company no tax breaks. I'd give all the tax breaks to the middle class. I wouldn't even give the poor shit. If they want tax breaks, get to work and become middle class. That's where the tax breaks are.

Who will benefit from this? EVERYONE. The middle class will benefit from the tax breaks. They'll be able to save and spend more. And guess who will benefit when we spend that money? The corporations! The rich! No need to give them more tax breaks.

We don't need to just roll back the Trump and Bush tax breaks. Let's roll back the Reagan tax breaks too!!!

Want to compromise? Then let's just roll back the Trump tax breaks. You can keep the Bush and Reagan tax breaks you got. Sound fair?

Rumsfeld, because he knew what he was doing.

Hegseth is an idiot, so just keep him away from the important stuff and things will be fine. Seems he's on his way out anyway, so...

Same for Cheney v Vance, Cheney was the ultimate political scumbag, eclipsing even Bush II himself. Vance just likes to run around the world wearing mascara, so not harmful at all. His poltiical career is over the instant Trump is out of Office.

I've heard that Harris won the 100K vote by around 15%. Trump did get his share, but if the 15% difference is true, that shows that the democratic party is now more in line with the party of the rich than of the middle class.

Trump didn't dupe anyone. The idea that you think that is just cope. In other words, you think that those people are too stupid to look at what was going on around them, think for themselves, and make a choice for themselves. That's the democrat "smarter than you" arrogance coming out. That's why voters are now listed as college-educated and not college-educated. Since more college-educated people vote democrat, it gives the perception that the ones who vote democrat are simply smarter than those who don't. Who has said that they expect to make the kind of money like they did in the 1990s? I'm sure you have the quote to support that.

Of course, Walmart and Target are telling Trump to knock off the tariffs. Where do you think those companies are getting their products to sell in their stores. China. Messing up that flow will mess up their business model and their bottom line. I thought that democrats were against corporate greed. Americans are too hooked on instant gratification and what they want instead of looking down the road and plan for the future. We allegedly care about those who work for minimum wage in the US, but we don't bat an eye to the workers working on slave wages in China as long we get our stuff from Temu, Shein, or Ali Baba. We should want more products to be in the US. If doing something to reduce the trade deficit with countries is a bad thing (tariffs), what are democrats offering us as an alternative? The status quo?

Trump will be judged by what he does with the economy. That being said, after listening to democrats downplaying who the economy was doing the past four years, I'm not passing judgement on someone after three months. Now, if he screws up the economy, his party will pay for it in 2026 and 2028.

Trump is a threat to democracy? What about the DNC?

Here you have the media and their lap dogs in the media presenting to the American people a candidate that is a lie. He can't even hold a debate with Trump let alone lead the country, and God forbid need to lead in a time of crisis but they left him in there anyway, I think because Kamala was worse.

How does democracy work exactly when you have no real idea what you are voting for?

Then you have Joe censoring the media, telling them not to report his son's laptop scandal because it was Russian disinformation, right before the election. Guess what, it wasn't. Also, about 20% of voters polled who voted for Biden said they would not have had they known the truth about the scandal. Again, people have no idea what they are voting for, which is the bread and butter of the DNC.

Meanwhile, anyone that supports Trump they terrorize through violence and defame by charging them with being Nazis as well so that people will try to assassinate them like they did Trump?

:laughing0301:

So long as the DNC functions as is, there is no democracy, especially since they control the media and academia, which are their reeducation centers.

The "rich" are still Republicans. People making over $100,000 are middle class and educated. People like that don't vote Republican. So Trump wins rich greedy votes and poor dummies over. Nice.

Funny thing is, Trump is acting like a liberal and you seem to love it. He wants to kick illegals out and bring jobs home and that'll raise wages for those people who make under $50K a year. That's what us liberals were saying during the Bush years. So YOU have changed. Because in the 1990's you loved illlegals and wanted cheap shit from China. Because you wanted to break those unions.

Well today those former union workers are the under $50K people you are talking about.

To prove how stupid those people are, Trump is totally anti union. Unions are why any of these people got raises last year and the year before. Trump would not support their unions if they went on strike.

I'm actually looking forward to the 2028 UAW strike that might happen. I hope Trump doesn't support them so they can see I was right. Or any other union that dares go on strike while Trump is president. They'll see he is not very liberal when it comes to labor rights.

You're going to give all the tax breaks to a group that provides less than 10% of federal income tax revenue? You do realize that that isn't enough money staying in people's pockets to matter much, right? I'm glad that you're nowhere near the power to affect the economy.
