the economy is not fixed. all we are creating are low wage jobs, with no benefits. on another thread left leaners are criticizing walmart for creating these types of jobs and the damage they cause to america. but now these are the types of jobs being created by everyone. the economy is not fixed. unemployment is not fixed. lets wake up people.

Not so long ago, Russ Holton was married, making a six-figure income and looking at a promising career ahead.
Now, seven years later, he's divorced, interviewing for $12-an-hour jobs and trying to further his education and stay afloat in a jobs market that is creating in excess of 200,000 positions a month but few that provide an opportunity to live the life to which he had become accustomed.

The creation of a low-wage job doesn't make anyone poorer.

Unless they quit a higher-paying job to get it.

the world of employment is like unto a pyramid. There are a large number of jobs at the bottom and a tiny number of jobs at the top. Thus, most newly-created jobs (just like ALL jobs) tend to be at the bottom of the pyramid. How could it be otherwise?

And for every Russ Holton, who is making (I suppose) a fraction of what he was making some years ago, there are a couple of "Hoss Rultons," who are making many times more than they were some years ago.

Yeah, you got it spot-on correct with that "pyramid" bit.

It's called the elites at the top, and the have-nots at the bottom.

Problem is, in today's pyramid, there is no middle bridge between the figure's bottom and its top.

In other words, the pyramid cannot stand, because it has no base.

That's a problem, see.
