The Real 'Far Right'

You know this debate over far right and far left at least to me while interesting seems to miss the point. While we all may disagree on matters of policy or direction in which this nation is taking in the end that makes us no less American. In fact I will submit, that we have the ability to change our Govt. at will when we as citizens wish to do so, the only problem is that through lack of participation or just plain apathy many choose not too. It does not take the point of a weapon to change this Govt. all it takes is the will of the people to do so. Let me give you an example, it seems rather odd when every election people no matter what party you belong too, elect the same people year after year, advocate change then expect that to come from the same people they elect. I suspect and have for some time now that people have basically the same wants and needs it's how we get there that we tend to seperate into camps over. I've said this to many of you before, but I think here it's worth saying once again, as a Republican in the old sense of the word I suppose ( no age jokes now *laughs*) I had the high privledge to watch a young lady (my daughter) vote for the first time last year for Barack Obama. Although not my choice for President, no father was more proud than I , because she was validating something I believed in deeply and thats being part of something bigger than yourself and being involved in this great nation of ours. While we don't have to agree with one another all the time, perhaps if we ever hope to achieve the great things our nation has achieved over the years once again is to learn to respect once anothers views as Americans and take little parts from everyone to build a better place for those that will come after us?

What you just said was BULLSHIT!!!

[no...i'm just kidding]

Somebody, anybody please, please, please call ME a "Far-Right Winger"!! PLEASE?

I'll wear it like a badge of honor!

You see many (on the left and right) consider anyone that believes in God, an Evangelical Christian mainly to be "far right". :eusa_pray:

Oh, I believe every word of the Bible! That makes me "extreme far right":eusa_angel:
AND
I make preparations for the future, I plant "crisis gardens", can our own food, raise our own meat, and eggs. We live on a farm secluded in the country. That would make me a "radical extreme far rightie" correct?

I am soooo proud!

Of course there's a far right wing in America.

And a far left wing, too.

And then there's many of us sitting somewhere inbetween tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber trying to make sense in a world which has been designed to keep us fearful of the other.

If there were no far right and left wings, the masters would invent them as their excuse for more control over the people.

I didn't claim there was no far right or no far left. I said that liberal posters here who constantly call everyone who disagrees with them the far right are, in fact, wrong.

For those not competent to recognize that anyone who disagrees with liberal policies is not a 'far right' whackjob, the article below outlines the real 'far right'. Now, on the day that this becomes the SOP for Republicans, Conservatives, TEA Partiers or any other group, you are welcome to refer to them as 'far right', otherwise, I would suggest that you STFU about 'far right' to describe everyone who does not hero worship Obama. You make yourselves look fucking stupid.

The attack seemed singularly horrific: an Egyptian pharmacist, Marwa el-Sherbini, was testifying during an appeal hearing in a Dresden courtroom on July 1 when a Russian émigré, Alex Wiens, lunged at her with a 7-in. kitchen knife. The pregnant mother was stabbed to death as her husband and 3-year-old son looked on helplessly. After protests swept the Arab world, Wiens was sentenced in November to life in prison for what the court deemed a racially motivated murder.

Though shocking in its brutality, the attack was not an anomaly in Germany. Authorities say the country has experienced a disturbing rise in extreme-right-wing violence in recent years. The Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) said in a report released last week that politically and racially motivated crimes by the far right hit a record high of more than 20,000 in 2008. Figures for 2009 won't be released until early next year, but the BKA expects them also to be above normal.

Question

Would this not be considered racial/ethical and not "Right wing Politics"??

Or are you saying that the further right you are, the more prone to racial violence you become(I know this is not true. There are racist leftists so please clean up your point!!)

Don't you think there are many on the right who lump anyone to the left of them politically into "Teh Evil Libruls?"

And how about the guy who killed the guard at the Holocaust museum?

And what about the guy who killed the doctor who performed abortions?

Those guys not "right wing?"

I do not know about the Holocaust killing(that seems like Neo-nazi activities to me) ut the killing of an abortion doctor could happen by a lefty as well as a right winger.

Just that, the violent right wing Christians are just more vocal in terms of politics/religion.

I see. Your position is that a person is not "far" anything until they start killing people to promote their beliefs? Does that apply only to individuals? Can a sub-national group or even an entire nation be considered "far ....." when they start killing people to promote their own agenda?

So not killing equals moderate? And anything less than that is simply a "failure to worship"?

Vulgarities aside, I'm betting folks will reserve their right to base their own definitions of "far right" or "far left" on very different criteria.

Can you cite examples of when an abortion doctor was killed (because he was an abortion doctor) by someone who could be fairly categorized as a left winger??

so short of blowing things up, you don't see a far right in this country?

what about people who talk about armed insurrection?

Talking about armed insurrection has happened for decades, actually for more than decades..... It was quite prevelent during the '60s..... but that was the left so pretend that didn't happen.

What I am saying is that the 'far right'... is not the GOP, the TEA Partiers, Conservatives or any other 'mainstream' group. The 'far right' in our country are hiding in the hills awaiting Armaggedon. The Nazis are far right. There are far right groups all over the world. I am just sick to the back teeth of idiot liberals calling everyone and anyone who disagrees with them the 'far right'. They can go fuck themselves into oblivion with their stupidity. You are not one of them.

How would one "fuck themselves into oblivion with their stupdity"?
The behavior you describe in the OP is horrible, and horrible describes the Oklahoma City bombing and the kook who murdered the doctor in church, the Atlanta Olympic bomber & anti- abortion murderer, the DC sniper. They are all examples of extreme behavior, criminal behavior and likely the behavior of a seriously emotionally disturbed person. They defy far right or far left labels, they are criminals, psychopaths (yea, an obsolete term but spot on in this case) and evil.
The fact that those you describe as "mainstream" includes persons who advocate openly carrying firearms, Nullification, secession, and are okay with the suspension of habeas corpus, pre-emptive military strikes, denial of a basic right (marriage) to some Americans, etc. etc. proves one thing for sure - you're a member of the fringe.

The only people that may be considered to be far right....but strangly liberals overlook the fact that Muslims are as far right as anyone can get.

Yet they seem to want to go to bat for them in a regular basis. Maybe it's because they were a pain in the ass to Bush.

Now that they're a pain in the ass to Obama maybe they'll change their tunes.

Hey bud, I as just pointing that according to the logic expressed in this thread, a logic which you seem to agree with, right-wingers are not not allowed to use the term "far-left" in relation to anyone who is not a Stalinist Totalitarian.

I see you do not disagree with my post, but instead went off on some odd tangent about Liberals liking Muslims(?).

I guess that's true though, if you believe that not wanting to murder all Muslims (like some people) equates to "coddling" them or "going to bat" for them.

I didn't claim there was no far right or no far left. I said that liberal posters here who constantly call everyone who disagrees with them the far right are, in fact, wrong.

And thus, logically, anyone on the right-hand side of the fence who refers to left-wingers as "the far left" or "socialists" is also wrong.

Like Bill O'Reilly, who constantly refers to members of MoveOn as "the far left".

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
William Shakespeare - Hamlet, Act 3, scene 2

Me thinks you use the words of others because you struggle to write your own. I explained - once - why I think it impolite to call me Cali Girl. Normal people would see that as acceptable. It takes a complete moron to quote Shakespear in response.

"You are one pathetic individual, bf." California Girl, USMB, Politics, The Real 'Far Right'

Oh, I get it...you call yourself California Girl, and you're offended that I call you Cali girl, but my screen name is Bfgrn and you can call me BigFuckingRidiculousNerd...

Sorry, I didn't know the rules Cali girl...

Moron... I didn't say I was offended. I, rightly, pointed out that I am not Cali Girl. Cali Girl is an entirely different person. Are you too stupid to get that? It's not about being offended - since I point it out to anyone, left or right, who calls me Cali Girl. Damn, you are one dumbass liberal.

Okay, so let's play along with this arrogant nitwit.

What term should we use to describe the part of the right that is to left of the far right but to the right of the moderate right?

Since you're the expert on dictating terminology...

The only people that may be considered to be far right....but strangly liberals overlook the fact that Muslims are as far right as anyone can get.

There ARE far-right muslim extremists but not all muslims are far-right extremists.

I have often repeated that the only difference between the far-right extremist muslims and the far-right Christian extremists is one group thumps the Bible as they carry out violent acts and the other group thumps the Koran when they commit their violent acts.

To make a silly generalization that all Muslims are extreme right-wingers is just as inaccurate as saying all Christians are extreme right-wingers.

Actually, from a personal perspective - and this is gonna piss off and confuse pretty much everybody on here.... I don't see the DNC and the GOP as left or right... I see them both on the left side of the following line:

Totalitarianism...................................................................................................................Anarchy

If you were to put both parties somewhere along this line, both the DNC and the GOP would be "left" of center. Now, the problem that I really have is that the Founding Fathers (God Bless Them), wrote the Constitution to put us just on the safe side of anarchy.... Enough law and order to prevent chaos, but maximum freedom for the individual.

Contraversial, huh?

Dang it!!

Pick me, Pick me, Pick me!

I AM an "Radical Extremist Far -Right Winger" (according to some liberals anyway), I BELIEVE in the death and resurection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe every word of the Bible is inspired from God!

Do I qualify as "Radical Extremist Far -Right Winger"?:eusa_pray:

The bottom line is their are people in society that are lunatics, their mentally challenged and/or demonically controled that will murder others. Timothy McVeigh comes to mind, Uday Hussein, the 911 terrorist, and Jim Jones are ALL MURDERS.

People attempt to put labels on these people equating them to whatever group is in opposition the ones own ideology, be they liberal minded or conservative minded.

My personal opinion we have conservatives, centrist aka moderates, and liberals defined as:

CONSERVATIVES - believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, traditional American values and a strong national defense. Believe the role of government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals.
Conservative policies generally emphasize empowerment of the individual to solve problems.

LIBERALS - believe in governmental action to achieve equal opportunity and equality for all, and that it is the duty of the State to alleviate social ills and to protect civil liberties and individual and human rights. Believe the role of the government should be to guarantee that no one is in need.
Liberal policies generally emphasize the need for the government to solve people's problems.

CENTRIST/MODERATES - believes that parts of both sides are correct however most centrist/ moderates don't agree on which parts. They seek a middle road between liberal and conservative and frequently change opinions based upon which side is publically louder. Centrist/moderates desire to be on the "winning" side regardless of principles.

Everyone falls into one of the three catagories, in some way.
