I don't see how your statement that his Disqus join date isn't available affects anything. As for the choice of language, that's merely corroborating evidence, circumstantial to be sure. If they were merely pointing at one unusual phrase, that would be one thing. Where there are numerous examples, it becomes much more than a coincidence.
