1) Ukraine didn’t secede. It wasn’t even part of “Russia”. It was part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Ukraine was one republic within the union and Russia, Estonia, Tajikistan etc. were others.

And all of the individual republics within the Soviet Union became independent nations when the union collapsed. If Ukraine “seceded” from the USSR, then so did the Russian Federation.

2) The USA *hasn’t* put any nukes in Ukraine, anyways.

Works on the assumption that they are comparable.

The time to object to the secession of Ukraine was in 1991 when it happened, not 30 years later.

The US has given independence to former territories, such as the Philippines , and we don't have much to say about it. For instance, the Philippines insisted on closing Clarke Air Force base and Subic bay in the 1990s, which is their right.

Also, no one is putting Nukes in the Ukraine. But as long as you brought the subject up, Ukraine inherited nukes when the USSR went to the dustbin of history. It returned those nukes to Russia on the promise of the west to defend it from Russian aggression.
