Job losses and furloughs led many people to take early retirement, permanently withdrawing from the workforce. Now that the need for their work has come back, we have a labor shortage. It's a simple as that. There are indicators of problems in our economy at the moment in addition to the data points you're singling out, such as inflation and emerging bubbles. So it's unfounded to say that the economy is booming. The economy is still in COVID turmoil, and has yet to reach a stable post-pandemic state.

Still not as good as Trump had the US economy before Fau-Chi's Covid pandemic hit.

There is no "energy crisis", "supply chain crisis", or "border crisis".

The worker shortgage happens when you kill one million citizens in a badly managed pandemnic.

The vaccine mandates are becoming a non-issue.

Inflation and energy prices are a world wide problem as the world emerges from the pandemic.

The crime problem is a result of societal breakdown after 4 years of Trump destablizing the nation, combined with the destabilization of the pandemic.

No other first world nation in the world was dealing with anything like this but then no other first world nation in the world had anywhere near the level of disease, death, economic displacement of government incompetence and chaos during the pandemic, than the USA.

Trump came very close to completely destroying the United States. Now the job of stablizing the country is all the more critical and Republicans are simply not capable of doing it.

It's not nearly as simple as that.

Trump dismantled immigration into the USA. Especially refugee and resettlement programs. Ending the programs and dismantling the infrastructure which managed them. The US population is now declining as a result, further increasing worker shortages.

As well, with the Mexican Border completely closed during covid, no migrant farm workers, legal or otherwise came into the USA to plant, pick or process the crops, leading to higher food prices.

You clowns keep braying about "illegal immigrants" because the Republican Party has trained you to do that, but you never considered what would happen to your economy if you removed all of those low wage illegals from your food production supply chain.

You had millions of jobs that couldn't be filled BEFORE the pandemic further reduced the number of workers available. The work force lacks the training and skills to fill them, and if the companies can't get VISA workers to fill them, they'll move to a country with a better educated work force.

As you cut education spending, and attempt to use your education system to turn our good little Christian conservatives, instead of a diverse and well educated people with the skills, knowledge and problem solving abilities to compete in a 21st Century economy.

Sending your kids to Christian schools with no minorities and enforcing segregation is destroying your country. You're raising a generation of idiots.
