Gaucher disease type 1 is the most prevalent inherited Jewish genetic disease. A number of genetic disorders occur more frequently in certain ethnic populations. In the Ashkenazi Jewish population (Eastern, Central and Northern European ancestry), it has been estimated that one in four individuals is a carrier of one of several genetic conditions.

I don't mean to pick on the jews but they are some marry another jew and they have been along for a long time.

Maybe those diseases aren't genetic at all- but instead are caused by wearing a yarmulke or prevented by eating bacon?

Just because a disease appears more in one religion than another doesn't mean its genetic.

I am not Jewish and I have genetic diseases, so what is your point Penelope besides your typical “ Those Filthy Jews “ nonsense…?

Some genetic disorders are more likely to occur among people who trace their ancestry to a particular geographic area. People in an ethnic group often share certain versions of their genes, which have been passed down from common ancestors. If one of these shared genes contains a disease-causing variant (also known as a mutation), a particular genetic disorder may be more frequently seen in the group.

The Mormons also had a problem with polygamy.
