Yeeeeeeaaahhh, no. The Tomahawk will hit the door. Even the unitary 1000 pound warhead will wreck whatever is inside.

Nope. Tomahawk missiles are low yield and high explosive. They wont bust through several feet of reinforced armor designed specifically for that type of attack.

The uneducated are always under the impression that big explosion = big penetration. Reality check: It doesn't.
Are you seriously going to keep defending this position? You've been proven wrong. Maybe it's time to just let it go?

Insulting someone..make that everyone's intelligence is not working for you. You were wrong. Admit it and just move on.

Hate to tell you...but the Pentagon is already saying that the airfield is "Severely Damage" if not "Destroyed."

The airfield was 'severely damaged.' Not the airbase. Not the aircraft. They probably just messed up some concrete.

By the way, the pentagon is wrong 100% of the time in its first public intelligence briefings. This has been the reality of the past few decades.

No, not the runway, the airfield meaning the buildings they targeted that held the fuel, aircraft, and munitions.

The pentagon is wrong by 100%. The hell are you smoking?

You got links to back your bullshit?

Well that didn't take long. Shades of H W Booosh and Kuwait, W and 9/11, not paying attention, giving incompetent signals, great chance for spending trillions on war machine. Great job!

Wrong, a Tomahawk can fly right in the door which is the weakest part, they carry a 1,000 pound warhead and would do the trick. They know how everything is laid out with satellite images and they can be programed to +/- 3 feet.

If the door is several feet of reinforced armor, then no. The door would absorb the explosion.

You might want to google that, because you're wrong. We have the precision weaponry.

  • Reduces vulnerability of aircraft to all but the most accurate precision weaponry

The purpose of the strike was to destroy the airfield so Assad couldn't launch any more attacks from there.

This was a critical blow! It will be at least one week before they repave the runway.
tell me, Most runways for larger air craft and military use are 3-6 feet thick and re-enforced... How do you suppose they destroyed the runways? The bunker is a zit on the ass compared to that runway.

And the buildings used to maintain the aircraft. Tools and parts.

No, they specifically said "the Eastern Mediterranean." And even if it was, 300 miles for a missile that has an effective range of 1,000 miles is no big deal.

Like I said, it was probably several hundreds miles west of Cyprus. There is no way it was between Cyprus and Syria, as that would of been too high profile and intercepted during the first several launches.

Effective range for missiles works differently than the effective range for a firearm or tank cannon. They are prone to breaking down and going off course during their travel, which is why it is highly implausible that all 50-60 of them hit their targets.

60 rockets coming in with an average flight time of 14 minutes so you are NOT going to have time to hide shit.

WTF are you talking about? If this attack was carried out several hundred miles away, then it would of taken several hours.

And if a chemical attack was carried out from this airbase, then they would of hid the aircraft immediately after the attack. It's just common sense.
"Several hours"? Are you a moron? The projected flight time of a ICBM from Kansas to Moscow is only 4 hours! "Several hours"? damn.

It was 120 miles. They fly at 500mph.
12 min flight time..

Tomahawks have a 99% reliability rating .. Best in the world for that kind of weapon..

NO, they said the EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN. Do you understand directions?

It doesn't matter if they detected them. The U.S. told Russia beforehand what they were doing, do you NOT think Russia didn't tell Syria what was going on? The cruise missiles have anti-jamming equipment on them and Syria couldn't do shit about it.

A tomahawk isn't an ICBM, dipshit. Have you ever actually seen a tomahawk launch test? They are not that fast.

Who cares? They flew to the target and blew it to hell.

My god you are a moron... :cuckoo:

The anti-jamming equipment is designed to prevent the missile from losing its route and being taken off course by the enemy. Not to jam communications in an airbase several hundred miles away. Russia informed the Syrians, and they moved their aircraft. I'd bet the money in my wallet.

The missile flies at 500 MPH, the ships were about 250-300 miles away, you do the math, if you're capable.
