This is the importance of all the defense spending liberals hate so much.

Because staying ahead of the technological curve is how we keep this country safe.

Officials at Natick were elated by the event, which promises to one day revolutionize the way that American troops and equipment are transported around the globe. It also could ultimately make overseas bases obsolete as forces are instead moved from U.S. soil to remote trouble spots in the blink of an eye.

Really you are actually buying into this on APRIL 1ST

"According to Storm, a device not unlike the "flux capacitor" seen in the "Back to the Future" movie series was employed during the experiment. This led to immediate speculation that the Army was also working on time travel, but time travel requirements of generating 1.21 gigawatts is no trivial feat."

Great Scott! Nothing 'fooley' about that, no not at all.

If it worked we could build a huge one and transport all of North Korea's military, atomic weapons, and Kim Jong Dumbass into outer space and put them in orbit around Uranus. Where they would then start to threaten Neptune during flybys.

Or we could set it to transport most of the CO2 in the atmosphere into the core of the Earth, saving the biosphere from Global Warming.

Or we could just have a personal device to transport an In 'n Out burger to our house every Friday. Which I would support funding for.

It's about Goddam time! Now that we've got that done let's shift the team's focus on to developing a working hover board.

Whoa! And you know if they can teleport soldiers, it will only be a few years before it works on regular people!

Actually, it looks like this story was a hoax. Apparently the teleporter was developed 50-some years ago. Reports are surfacing that Ann Durham repeatedly passed back and forth through one years ago while in child birth.
