Very sad. I'm glad the officers acted so professionally. The female was really in a bad spot, but I guess any other day that isn't going well, she will be able to remind herself that it could be worse, LoL.

Yes, we need some legal options for mandatory treatment for the mentally ill/addicted who cannot control themselves. If they have to be incarcerated for that, so be it. It's best for them, and certainly best for people they may hurt.

I say that as a libertarian. But in my opinion, an addict or insane person effectively has no freedom anyway, because they are a slave to their illness or addiction. Helping them get the addiction or the mental illness under control is freeing them, not taking their freedom.
