With 30 million views on this one video, I'd say Elvis Presley's 1956 smash hit 'Hound Dog' definitely qualifies. .
( and I'm starting to sound like Casey Kasem )

Suspicious Minds is probably more intergenerational as you had fine young cannibals, dwight yokum do their own successful covers. I have seen another one I kind of like by a guy named erik hassle.

I bet these guys will be remembered.....this inspired me (like so many kids then) to get my 1st (sears silvertone) guitar>

You could pick from at least 20 great Steely Dan tunes, but this is
still one of my favorites with some of Steve Gadd's best drum work ever- especially toward the
end of the song.

It's a toss up between: The Atlantis National Anthem aka Stairway to Heaven, or Original Guitar Solo "Outside Now"

..Transcends Generations? hmmm.... from Working Girl to their moms and dads... so maybe. :)

That's why I just have to sing this at karaoke this week if my asthma doesn't get worse...
