Tony Blair admits: I would have invaded Iraq anyway

*yawn*

Barney Frank fired off his opening salvo on the financial industry yesterday. The Socialist Democrats are poised to take over one-sixth of our economy and DESTROY our healthcare choices. Congress is piling so much unsustainable debt on the backs of our children that the ANNUAL interest payment will be 800 Billion dollars in ten year's time, (and that's without Obamacare). Medicare and Social Security are going broke ahead of schedule. And the EPA is trying to decide whether or not to continue allowing us to BREATHE while Obama and his Merry Band of Looters are perpetuating their Cap-and-Scam gambit.

But by all means... let's replay the Iraq war. :cuckoo:

5 of the top 50 highest paid executives in this country work at heath care giant, "Cigna". The 5 year salary package for it's CEO is close to a quarter billion dollars. Every cent Cigna has it gets from skimming the top off insurance policies. When people become sick, Cigna has found it's cheaper to deny them health care and then out wait them. Which comes first? Death or a court date? When the plaintiff dies, many times, so does the case. This has become a very profitable industry for Cigna.

So this is what you call "healthcare choice"? The difference between you and me. I spell out facts, you just make accusations and call names. So what is your "healthcare plan"?
"Die quickly"?

Just so you know. We are still in Iraq.

Old news. We realised this as soon as the dossier Blair used to support the case for war, was proved to be an over-spun piece of fabrication. Tony Blair has long been recognised by the British as a lying sack of shit. It's one thing he excelled at.

Bush has previously admitted it as well:

12/14/05:

BUSH: I said I made the right decision. Knowing what I know today, I would have still made that decision.

HUME: So, if you had had this — if the weapons had been out of the equation because the intelligence did not conclude that he had them, it was still the right call?

BUSH: Absolutely.

Think Progress » Caught on Tape: Bush Admits WMD Were Irrelevant

Bush/Cheney started planning as soon as they took office. First question after 9-11 was "how can we blame this on Iraq?"

So you are saying Bush said...its not going to be hard to pull this off, my fans are idiots and republicans have no singular thoughts, so lets go with WMD's. Cheney laughed at first and said no way, they arent that dumb. They wont believe that.

Bush stuck with it and said yes, and we will have Fox to back us up. They have people I call "Hannity stupid" there.

They both smiled and did it. Guess what, hannity still to this day says, Bush was a great president.

Dont even get me started on Rush.

wow...sounds like you've got it all figured out. Tell me, how much money are you making with those super-sensory powers of yours? I mean, hell, if you can tell what was said inside top secret walls inside the Pentagon, then you should be working for them. Or maybe you are...and that's how you know that this is how it really went down. Either way, I'm thoroughly impressed with your powers of deduction. Who would have thought you would have given so much moral credit to VP Cheney? And on top of that, would have given so much credit to FOX and Hannity and Rush to convince the majority of congress to go along with it? Amazing!

Tony Blair admits: I would have invaded Iraq anyway

Which is why that fool isn't Prime Minister of England and found it wise to move here. Seems England is even more unappreciative of their leaders lying than our country.

What did we gain? The majority of the Christian population wiped out or chased out from Iraq? A theocratic hard right Islamic government by constitution, a government of people who hate us? Women reduced to property? Is this success? For the Republicans it is. We have turned Iraq into Iran and the Republicans hate Iran. Odd that.

please explain how you came to these conclusions. Christian population CHASED out of Iraq? Women reduced to property??? They weren't even able to vote until last year!!! The majority of Iraq is very gracious to be out from under Hussein's thumb.

You people have missed the point completely on this whole thing. Blair shared the SAME convictions as our leaders did when the decision was made to go back to Iraq and finish what didn't happen the first time...to clear out whatever WMD's still might be there after 12 years of hide and seek and to take Saddam out of the realm of the living.

It happened...success. Even the majority of democrats agreed that the removal of Saddam was necessary to protect Iraqi's from future atrocities.

Iraq has NOT been turned into Iran...if it were, we would have leveled it already.

I'll be interested to see your link on CEO salaries just as a matter of trivia, but frankly... I don't much care how private corporations, their boards and their stockholders make these determinations. I'd trust the free-market principles of the profit-motive over the arbitrary machinations of a corrupt Congress any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

"Skimming off the top" though is an interesting charge. Are orange jumpsuits in the offing at Cigna? I hadn't heard. :eusa_eh:

As to whether people should "die quickly" as a healthcare plan... do try not to be hysterical. It's unmanly and makes it difficult for people to take you seriously. :eusa_boohoo:
But then again, if it ever comes down to that, who knows?... maybe I'd be inclined to support it as a policy, just so long as we make it... Socialists First.:lol::lol:

I don't think anyone is questioning whether or not we're still there.

Why haven't any of the dems even considered the simple resolution of allowing insurance companies to sell their policies across state lines? Hmm?? Can you imagine the rate war that would ensue? Talk about price reductions? And coverage??? Forget about it? They'd all be scrambling to offer the BEST coverage possible. Then if you get some bunch of yahoos out there...we'll use CIGNA since that seems to be your target bad guy...that isn't living up their policies, you fine the hell out of them.

But since we know there won't be any logical solutions considered...Here's my healthcare plan....don't buy it...get arrested...go to jail and let you pay for my health care...visual...dental...meals...boarding...supporting my family since I can't work anymore....sounds like a great way to beat the system, eh?

I can't understand how

I have no evidence for this, but I always had the feeling that Blair thought, because of the alleged strong and enduring relationship between Britain and the US, that he could control Bush. Perhaps he even thought Bush was a bit of a boofhead. Wrong on both counts it seems.

Here is a video I put together that outlines the plight of Iraqi Christians. How can you not know what has happened to them?

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTstzb7qSI4[/ame]

Since I made this video, things have gotten much worse for the Christians of Iraq. Do any internet search and most, if not all, will say their lives were much better under Saddam. The same for women. Women can only go out if escorted by a male relative and are required to dress in the Islamic fashion.

No one disputes that Saddam was a bad man, but what we replaced him with is worse.

There is nothing here I haven't put up links to at least a half dozen times, at least.

A company can do anything as long as congress makes it legal. Skimming off the top? What would you call it? Health care companies don't have any doctors, nurses, hospitals or medicines. They sell policies and then use a portion of that money to license health care services. They stand between you and your doctor and decide what they will pay for. If you cost too much, they cancel your policy. They nearly always use "pre-existing condition" as the reason, which is how they get around the law.

The VA, considered the best in the world, spends 96 cents per dollar on health care. They have a central data base that keeps track of the use of medicine and therapies and their effectiveness, in every field, cancer, neurology, psychiatry and others.

Health care companies spend less than 60 cents per dollar on health care. The rest is spent on CEO salaries, stock options, bonuses, rent and administration. The average CEO has a salary of more than 4 million. Nice for companies that don't make anything or sell anything except insurance policies.

I put up so many links to this stuff, I know it forwards and backwards.

What would help is a public option linked to the VA data base so we know what actually works. That would be a beginning. Then incentives for weight reduction and other health improvements. I'm not a medical professional, but I do understand the difference between being ripped off and health care.

Good...not a damn thing wrong with his decision as we have seen. YOU weren't privy to the intel that led up to the decision so YOU cannot judge.

How's that impeachment thingy working out for you 'tards on the left!!!

Right offhand I can think of 4000 reasons his decision was wrong. Of course I may place different value on American lives than you do.

High-ranking British government officials have no credibility, but you do? Don't make me laugh.
