The Trump administration has rolled back a Food And Drug Administration rule instituted by President Barack Obama that has stalled coronavirus testing at the state level. The rule in question previously required state-run laboratories to only run medical tests pre-approved by the F.D.A.

As usual the Obama curse continues to harm the American citizen... Obama's weaponization of the agencies raises it's ugly head on a daily basis. If it isn't Law, Intelligence or now the FDA his failed legacy continues....
Sound to me like he might have just found about this “rule” and reversed it. There are probably thousands of these obscure rules in throughout government departments.
As a former department director myself, I always found old rules that prevented us from doing our jobs because someone back in the day though it was a good thing. Then we had to jump through hoops to get the rules modified or rescinded.
This obviously is what happened here. He didn’t find out about the obscure rule until he is asked.Indeed, the Left will blame Trump for this inherited incompetent decision of Obama and his appointees.

Trump needs to focus on better messaging than blaming Obama -- just continue to follow the lead of the health professionals and pray for the best outcome possible...and take credit for it if it turns out OK -- but there is no need to blame Obama if you think things are going OK

At his remarks today, Mike Pence boasted that he had rescinded this regulation on Saturday. Even taken at face value, this raises the question why the administration didn’t act earlier. After all, if there was an Obama decision that was hampering the government’s response, and Trump had it in his power to rescind it all along, why wait until the virus has already started spreading domestically?
